Alpine begun shipping its new line of V12 AccuClass-D power amps

Alpine Electronics of America, Inc., the industry-leading manufacturer of high performance mobile electronics, announced today that it has begun shipping its new 2002 line of V12 AccuClass-D power amps, Type-R speakers and Type-R and Type-S subwoofers to authorized retailers.

Alpine's newest amps, speakers and subwoofers were designed from the ground up to meet the needs of car audio enthusiasts looking for greater power handling and control and optimal sound clarity from their car audio system.

Alpine's New True Digital V12 AccuClass-D Amps: Alpine’s MRD-M300 and MRD-M500 digital amps are the industry’s first to feature a complete digital architecture inside the chassis from input to power amplification stage.

Utilizing a custom DSP front end and a highly accurate digital amplifier stage, Alpine's new V12 AccuClass-D amps provide users with premium sound tuning and the sort of amplifier control that only complete digital technology can deliver.

With the optional RUX-4280 (SRI $100) Remote Amplifier Control Center (RACC), users can link up to eight mono amps and synchronize set-up and sound control through one display and controller. With the RACC system, users also can name each amp, for easy identification in trouble shooting situations.

Type-R Speakers and Subwoofers: All of Alpine’s 2002 Type-R speakers and subwoofers feature stylish, unified cosmetics and major engineering innovations for ultra-clear, ultra-loud performance with pounding bass. Subwoofer users will enjoy increased power handling, reduced distortion, improved thermal management greater durability and increased SPL.

Type-S Subwoofers: Alpine’s new Type-S subwoofers combine premium sound, thumping bass and affordability into a package that offers users the ability to handle 600 watts of peak power with ease.

All Type-S subs are built with tough Kevlar reinforced cones, extra thick steel baskets, double-stacked magnets, high-excursion surrounds and woven tinsel leads for increased reliability, as well as a built-in heatsink, a larger flare vent and a redesigned motor structure for greater power handling and increased SPL.

Alpine's newest digital bass amps, Type-R speakers and subwoofers and Type-S subwoofers were designed specifically to satisfy the needs of today's power-users without sacrificing sound clarity, said Stephen Witt, Alpine's vice president of Brand Marketing.
