Most Powerful Amplifier Ever Developed by Alpine

Alpine Electronics of America, Inc., the industry-leading manufacturer of high performance mobile electronics, today unveiled the most powerful amplifier the company has ever produced: the MRD-M1000 AccuClass-D, a high performance 1000-watt monaural power amplifier with a completely digital internal architecture.

The $900 MRD-M1000, scheduled to ship in March, is the largest subwoofer amplifier of Alpine's V12 series and establishes a new industry benchmark by combining raw bass drive power and unparalleled bass tuning flexibility. In 2003, Alpine will offer an incredibly powerful V12 amplifier line to meet any audio enthusiast's performance needs, including three AccuClass-D amps, five multi-channel amps and a new AlpineF#1Status amp.

The MRD-M1000 appeals directly to the car audio enthusiast market that demands huge power reserves and extreme durability without compromising bass sound quality. It is specifically designed to handle the complex impedances of modern high excursion subwoofers and multi-subwoofer systems under heavy abuse without shutting down. Like all Alpine AccuClass-D amplifiers, the MRD-M1000 incorporates advanced signal processing technology with true-digital amplification.

The DSP also allows users to exercise full digital control over Alpine's exclusive Bass Engine settings, such as subwoofer level control, parametric EQ (bass center and width control) and digital crossover. Bass Engine’s advanced digital time correction offers SPL customers the right combination of big bass and maximum power while the bass compensator feature improves bass content and detail.

Alpine's new MRD-M1000 really establishes a new benchmark for all amplifiers, said Steve Witt, Alpine's vice president of Brand Marketing. Our V12 AccuClass-D line has been designed from the ground-up to deliver monstrous amounts of non-stop power while at the same time maximizing efficiency and minimizing distortion.

The MRD-M1000 joins Alpine's other AccuClass-D mono amps, the 500 watt MRD-M500 and 300 watt MRD-M300, which both debuted in 2002. All V12 AccuClass-D mono amps feature the most accurate and easy-to-use amplifier set-up and control in the industry. The amplifier’s digital display provides status, protection sensor indicators and detailed set-up information.

For power-hungry users who want precision control of their subwoofer system, Alpine’s AccuClass-D mono amp line features an optional RUX-4280 Remote Amplifier Control Center, which allows up to eight mono amps to be linked with synchronized set-up and individual sound control through one in-dash display.

With the RACC system, users also can name each amp for easy identification in trouble shooting situations. For single amp applications, an optional subwoofer level knob is available for easy, in-dash adjustment of temperature, voltage and amp condition for maximum control and output.

Six V12 multi-channel amps will also be available this year, including the new AlpineF#1Status MRV-F900 . Alpine's V12 multi-channel line is designed to meet the demands of audio enthusiasts with the ultimate in fine tuning for tight, crisp bass, smooth highs and flawless fidelity.

With several models to choose from, the V12 lineup offers more sound system configurations for building stereo or multi-channel systems. Consumers can mix and match any of the V12 or V12 AccuClass-D models, thanks to a unified chassis design with hidden wire management, creating a sleek, uniform look.
